What size water tank does a house need?
Size your tank by how much water your household uses in one day, so the house keeps running through a short supply cut.
Quick rule
Malaysians use more than 200 litres of water per person per day. Multiply by the number of people at home, then round up to the next tank size.

Before you buy
- Weight: 1 litre of water weighs 1 kg, so a full 1,000 L tank weighs more than a tonne. Make sure the roof slab or stand can carry it.
- Space: measure the height and diameter you have. Our size tables list both for every model.
- Material: stainless steel lasts long and stays clean; plastic tanks are lighter. Ask us which types are in stock.
- New house or renovation: your plumber will follow the water operator's rules for minimum storage.
